Bull Creek Park is an excellent option for family and
children photographs. We can go traditional, casual, or totally fun--moving from
park, streams, towering rocks, to an immense waterfall all within a short walk
of an easily accessible parking lot.
Bull Creek Park is on Lakewood Drive near the intersection of
2222 and Loop 360.
The waterfall portion of this shoot is not for every family. Family members who cannot
navigate a short but rocky foot path might not feel comfortable getting to the
falls. Children under age 3 will probably have to be carried, so you must have
an equal number of adults and little ones who might not want to walk on gravel
or brush against trees. I don't recommend babies under nine months in this
shoot--they will be very small and indistinguishable in the overall picture--try
it next year! The regular part of the park, however, is very accessible even
with a stroller.
For the fishing-style image, you should wear easy to remove sandals and extremely casual
clothes. Rolled up jeans look better--more old-fashioned and flattering--than
shorts. Hanes white t-shirts are perfect but any t-shirt without a big logo will
be fine. Other shirt colors that work are yellow, brown, beige, or blue. Little
boys in overalls and no shirts are super cute!
