| Private Lessons |
| Got a new camera and want me all
to yourself? Or taking a group camera class somewhere and you need a
quick "catch up" between the first and second meeting so you
won't stay lost? I have taught everything from opening the box to your
first digital camera to
helping professionals set up their studio lights. We can do camera
basics, specific types of shots, or even Photoshop, retouching, or
printing. Know that if I taught photography to high school students, I
can handle anything.
Private lessons are $65 an hour. You can bundle three hours for $150.
Most people learn more than they ever thought possible in just one or
two lessons. We meet wherever makes sense for what you want to learn.
Vacation photos? We go to pretty spots in Austin. Kids? A park. Around
your house? Then that's where we go.
Feel free to share your lesson with a friend and split the
cost. Email
Deanna for details. She makes very cute custom gift certificates if the
lessons are for someone special! |

Through Deanna’s Studio
Macro Nature Photography
|

|
In this
three-hour course, we will practice nature photography using the macro
settings of both advanced Digital SLR and Point-and-Shoot cameras.
Learn how to capture extraordinary images of flowers, controlling the
focus of your background to make your pictures "pop." We will
go over the basics of Depth of Field and how the f-stop controls what is
in focus in an image. Manual SLR users will learn about aperture; point
and shoot users will work carefully with the various scenic modes of
their cameras.
No tripod is necessary--just your camera, a spare battery, your
camera manual, cool clothes, sunscreen, and water.

Mom’s Club Photo Classes
Deanna can give lessons to your mom’s club or playgroup at your meeting.
She can do a one-hour talk or a two-hour hands-on workshop. Both focus on getting
pictures from each Mom’s individual camera, and we’ll discuss the quirks of
various brands and styles as well as the most common mistakes and how to quickly
and easily avoid them. Definitely bring your camera with you!
No minimum or maximum class size, just $65 an hour for her to come. Email
her for details.
